Namtvedt Sealmaker Services specializes in engineered leak repair solutions. Our unique and innovative liquid pressure activated sealants are used to repair troublesome leak problems associated with oil and gas production onshore and offshore. Various leak types include hydraulic system leaks, control line and safety valve leaks(SCSSV), well-head and tree associated leaks, sub-sea well-head, pipeline and tree leaks, downhole equipment leaks, casing and tubing leaks, packer leaks, etc. Our products are specifically designed for each application using the most technologically advanced sealant technology available today. SMI's EnviroSEAL and SealMaker products are based on proprietary and patented composite technologies. Our composites have been used on over 1900 leak applications since the initial product introduction in 1996. Over that time, our SealMaker CRS system has achieved an unprecedented success rate of 90%. In addition to the casing repair application the SealMaker CRS has been used for subsea pipeline leak repair, to successfully create formation barrier squeezes, to remediate and restore lost circulation during drilling operations, thus demonstrating the diverse range of functionality that our advanced technologies provide.

Our group of companies have specialized in different leak repairs.Our SEALMAKER product is a service we are performing with our own specialized personnel. The customer is being charged a process fee in line with what kind of problem we are solving. Basically one never can "see" a leak being solved with our Differentially Activated Sealant Technologies. We are operating "blindfolded". And with this successful formula we are saving our customers for having to start more costly repairs.

How SEALMAKER sealants work

Sealmaker sealants are engineered to remain liquid and inert until exposed to pressure differential and positive displacement through a point of convergent flow. Velocity profiles then create shearing forces against the sealant which disrupts the stability of the fluid passing through the site of the opposing differential force. At a precisely controlled shear velocity through a leak site, sealant will quickly transform from liquid to solid, adhering tenaciously to the walls of the leak. As transformation progresses, the seal forms a strong ultra-dense fibril network that completely fills the leak. This seal remains flexible, inert, solid and strong and will completely penetrate and fill the entire leak channel. Since the magnitude of shear can easily be controlled by the rate of flow through the leak, we can precisely control the point at which seal formation will initiate. SEALMAKER resins build strong, tenacious, flexible, and inert seals that can withstand pressures in excess of 20,000 psig and temperatures beyond 550°F. Any remaining sealant in the line will not block, plug, or interfere with the system, it provides corrosion protection, and can be used in any fluid system regardless of type; oil, glycol, or water

SEALMAKER International provides a complete range of leak repair services. These services includes specialized leak analysis, troubleshooting, custom sealant design, formulation, and application. SMI repairs can be performed on site, typically with a single sealant engineer utilizing a small SMI 20,000psig injection system. SMI provides sub-sea clamp design, fabrication, installation for clamp/grout applications.
